"Learn
how to get rid of your long and ugly affiliate links and watch your
commissions soar..."
If you are a
shareasale or CJ affiliate, you may find that framed redirect links
work better than your ultra long and ugly URL. It often look like this:
"http://websiteurl.com/?php.redirect&%.id=1243.cgibin". It may
not hurt you when you post the link on your site, since people will
only see it on their address bar, but...
What will
happen when you send this ugly link for an email promotion? It's the
fastest way to hurt your conversion rates!
Plus, as we
saw in our previous link cloaking article, people don't like those
links, and some of your visitors will not appreciate your biased
review...

Benefits
Of A Framed Redirect Link?
A framed
redirect link works great because your website visitors will not see
the affiliate website URL, and thus, you are more likely to get your
commission!
Plus, in
most of the cases, the visitor will think that it's your site, and this
will add to your credibility.
Instead of
viewing the affiliate website URL in the address bar, he will get your
site's URL. It's also a must if you use offline advertising and pay per
click
(PPC) in your marketing overall strategy.
Is
There Any Risk?
Yes, there
are some risks. You can lose a lot of affiliate commissions if the
software is not compatible with framed redirects. Be sure to check the
affiliate program terms and conditions.
About
Clickbank: if you are a clickbank affiliate, you need to read clickbank
FAQ before, to see their policy about framed redirect links.
Clickbank is not for using frames, and you may use PHP
redirects
instead.
I was using
framed redirects to hide my affiliate links when I started, however I
quickly switched to simple PHP redirects after I lost several hundreds
of dollars in commissions because the software was unable to track my
affiliate link!
It may not
happen to you, but heck, how will you know it?
