"How To Find
A Profitable Niche That Makes Money 24/7?"
Niche Affiliate Marketing
Explained...
By Franck
Silvestre, Affiliate Marketing mentor, Internet Business coach...
One of the
biggest mistakes that niche affiliate marketing beginners make is that
they start promoting affiliate programs without knowing if the niche is
profitable.
They promote like crazy, and after a couple of months, they still
struggle to make more than $1,000.00 on a constant basis.
Before we learn the right way to find a profitable niche that makes you
money
on demand, let me tell you a story...
The first website I build was a forex affiliate site. I made my first
commission (a whopping $250) in this lucrative market by the way.
I made a few commissions and moved to a new market, and I let the forex
market (hmm, a big beginner mistake... stopping what works).
I was really putting all my efforts in my new affiliate website. I was writing
and submitting articles to directories, creating new blogs
and posting everyday to drive more traffic to my site, posting on
forums and yahoo answers... and after several months, something very
weird happened...
Although I was spending more than five hours per day promoting my new
website, my first forex website was making commissions every single
month without having me lifting a finger to promote it!
It was
just making sales after sales, commission after commission. And this is
when I started to understand
that finding the right niche was MORE than important for my affiliate
income.
Why is
that?
The forex niche (in fact, forex for beginners) was an excellent niche
and HIGHLY profitable. While the new niche I was into was good, but not
as lucrative as the forex niche.
You see, if you choose the wrong niche, you will NOT make all the money
you deserve. In other words, you will work more for less money.
How to find your profitable niche?
Today, I only enter a niche if it meets these three conditions:
1. A strong problem, pain or passion.
2. Possibility to sell a whole range of backend products to the same
customers.
3. They are willing to spend big bucks to solve this problem
I don't enter in a niche if the only thing I can sell to these
potential buyers is a $5-$10 ebook. I don't need to tell you that it
will be very difficult to make thousands in such niches.
If a niche doesn't meet these three criteria, I don't bother. I plan to
earn for the long haul.
There are so many niches out there. Why not choosing the most
profitable right from the start?
The sad truth...
If you can't find a profitable niche, you won't make any commissions...

Finding a
niche is easy, but beginners make this complicated. I remember when I
first got started, I was really desperate and asking on forums, blogs
and to anyone I could chat with online:
"Where
can I find a profitable niche?"
What is really funny is that most of the time, those experienced
marketers would give me a niche, but I'd do absolutely nothing with
it...
Ok, here it is...
Make sure you do the following exercise right now.
How to
find a lucrative niche?
The first thing you need to do is 'brainstorming'.
Question: "Should I choose something that I like?" or "Do I need to
follow my passion?"
If you are new to niche affiliate marketing, I'd say yes. But make sure
that your hobby or passion is profitable first.
Here
are a couple of questions that you should ask yourself:
1. Are you passionate about a subject?
2. Are you an expert at anything?
3. Do you have a hobby are interest that you pursue regularly?
4. Do you practice a sportive activity?
5. Did you solve a problem in the past?
6. etc,...
You can even ask to your partner, friends or colleagues. They'll help
you to find the answer.
Only once you find a potential niche, do the following:
1.
Keyword Research Tools
I recommend that you start with the Google external keyword research
tool because it's free and really easy to use.
There are many other powerful paid keyword research tools on the
Internet like the amazing keyword
elite for example.
2.
Google Trends
Google trends is another free tool that helps you to compare between
different niches.
3.
Search engines
You should also use Google, Yahoo, MSN and others. You will analyze
both free and paid results
4.
Discussion Boards
Forums and discussion boards are really powerful. You can easily find
out if there is a growing interest in your subject. You can easily spot
the hottest threads and find a pattern.
I like Yahoo answers and other similar sites as well.
5.
Don't forget to go... offline
Go where your market is, and learn more about them.
Now that you find your profitable market, you need to repeat this
process with two different niches. Suppose that you found that golf was
profitable. All you need to do now is select a second and then a third
market.
To make this even easier for you, let me give you some proven and
profitable markets:
1. Health
2. Weigh loss
2. Self Help
4. Home improvement
5. Internet marketing (highly profitable, but not newbie friendly)
6. Games (like world or warcraft)
7. Spywares and adwares
8. Golf
Note that these are big markets. They are the starting point. Make sure
that you dig.
Beginners often misunderstand niche affiliate marketing. A niche is the
segment of a bigger market.
Example:
Golf --> Golf clubs
Why you need to understand niche marketing as a marketer?
It is important that you understand niche marketing as an affiliate
because when you know how to target the right market, they will be more
responsive to your marketing.
That means more money in the bank (or in your clickbank account).
